Dr Sol Rogers is Global Director of Innovation at Magnopus, the immersive studio behind The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, Fortnite's Daft Punk Experience and the virtual production of Amazon's Fallout. A renowned XR veteran, he founded REWIND, the UK's leading immersive studio, and drove it into every corner of VR and AR, building worlds for the BBC, HBO, Universal and Red Bull long before "immersive" was an industry, before its acquisition by Magnopus in 2021. He spent 15 years as a senior university lecturer in digital animation, VFX and emerging technology, teaching thousands of students, and received an honorary Doctor of Science from Royal Holloway, University of London. Sol chairs BAFTA's Immersive Entertainment Advisory Group and the Innovate UK Immersive Tech Network, advises universities and government on the creative industries, and helps brands, businesses and governments unlock what's possible where the physical and digital worlds meet.
