Olaf Sperwer is Director VP/XR/Broadcast EMEA at ROE Visual, premium LED technologies with a focus on real-time XR, virtual production in film and live events. ROE Visual is a global market leader in virtual film production and XR solutions in broadcast. Sperwer studied media economics and media psychology at the University of Bonn and took on his first management tasks at the WAZ Bertelsmann Media Group in Germany. From there he moved to a leading management role at RTL/CLT Media Group and was responsible for the planning, realisation and construction of the European film and TV studio facilities MMC Studios in Cologne, Germany. Sperwer developed a particular interest in new technologies at an early stage and implemented the first virtual studio for RTL NEWS. Sperwer brings many years of experience as a senior consultant and supervisor on many international high-end film and television productions in the USA and EMEA. His focus is to support TV and film teams efficiently with premium real-time immersive technology solutions.
