Directing and designing with captured performance for 4D Gaussian Splat.

A gesture. A glance. The instants connect together.

How we frame a performance shapes what we feel. In this session we explore 4DV's spatial capture 3D animated gaussian splats. A recorded performance remains available for new perspectives and compositions, extending the creative conversation between directors, performers, lighting, stage and video designers.

Through a captured performance, we explore how that collaboration can reveal different meanings within the same moment, and how the computation behind reconstruction, compression and playback makes those choices possible.

One performance. Infinite discovery.
