Discord Rules

Everyone in the server shows their full, real name: the one your collaborators and credits know you by. Discord lets you set a nickname just for this server, so your name here does not have to change anywhere else. Click the server name at the top of the channel list, choose Edit Per-server Profile, and set your display name for this server only. Your name everywhere else on Discord stays yours.

Why we insist: this is a professional community, and it runs on real people vouching for real work. If showing your name here is a safety concern for you, message a moderator and we will sort it out together.

React to the rules post in #welcome-and-rules with any emoji. That reaction is how you tell us you have read them.

New to the server? Post a few lines in #introduce-yourself: who you are, what you work on, what you are trying to figure out. If you have been here for years, consider a reintroduction. The room is bigger than it was.

We encourage kindness: share positive messages and be thoughtful about how a post will land. We foster non-judgment: bring your perspective, and read other people's with curiosity rather than assuming a negative. We lead with empathy: understand and support the perspectives of others, and navigate disagreements with grace, respect, and consideration.

The frame:work code of conduct applies to everyone in the room, including sponsors and their staff.

The server is open to everyone, member or not, and stays that way. If you are a frame:work member, you can connect your membership: log in and link Discord from your profile. Members wear a framework-member badge in the server, and a few member-only channels are already waiting for you. Connecting is encouraged and never required.

Anyone can post to #jobs_board, member or not, and posts there will also appear on the frame:work website. Rules and structure for how to post are coming in the coming days.

Moderation is light touch, and moderators are easy to reach: tag @moderator in any message in the server. Moderators may edit a display name to match the naming rule, and accounts that ignore the rules after a reminder can lose posting access or be asked to leave. We think this community is awesome, and life is too short to share it with people who make it worse.
